The role
Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Manage a personal caseload of family law matters from intake through resolution, with guidance from senior attorneys when needed. The role centers on high-quality client representation, independent drafting and sound judgment within a collaborative small-firm setting.
What you'll do
- Handle your own family law cases from start to finish.
- Represent clients with a high standard of quality and care.
- Draft motions, declarations and settlement agreements independently.
- Draw on senior attorneys for support when a matter calls for it.
- Keep a steady billable workload while maintaining reasonable caseloads and work-life balance.
Requirements
What we're looking for
- J.D. and an active license to practice law in California.
- At least 7 years of experience dedicated exclusively or primarily to family law, ideally recent and current.
- Substantive family law knowledge.
- Experience managing your own caseload, or readiness to step up from a supervised or second-chair role.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with close attention to detail and good organization.
- Comfort billing an average of 130 hours per month.
- Based in San Diego.
