Expression of Interest - High Voltage (Design)

Our multi‑disciplinary UK Power team is an established, industry‑leading capability, bringing together high‑voltage specialists with deep experience across transmission and distribution networks. We partner with some of the most recognised organisations in the UK energy sector, delivering innovative, resilient and sustainable engineering solutions to complex, nationally significant infrastructure challenges.

By combining proven technical excellence with a client‑first philosophy, we support the safe, compliant and efficient delivery of HV infrastructure that underpins the UK’s energy transition. Our open, transparent approach and reputation for getting things right first time has enabled us to build long‑standing, trusted relationships with clients who rely on us to deliver consistently high‑quality outcomes.

Our UK High Voltage Capability

Our High Voltage team is well‑established and continues to play a key role in the delivery of major UK transmission and distribution programmes, supporting clients across the full project lifecycle. As demand for resilient, future‑ready networks continues to grow, we are further strengthening this capability to support an expanding portfolio of work across the UK.

Our Plan

We are keen to connect with engineering professionals interested in joining a highly regarded, forward‑thinking UK Power team, delivering critical HV infrastructure projects nationwide.

We would particularly welcome conversations with professionals experienced in:

• High Voltage substation design and delivery (AIS / GIS, new build and refurbishment)
• HV underground cable systems – design and project delivery (transmission and distribution)
• Power Transmission & Distribution Design Management, including multi‑disciplinary coordination
• Civil and Structural Engineering within the UK T&D sector (substations, cable routes, enabling works)
• Overhead Lines – structural, mechanical, electrical design and project delivery (132kV to 400kv)

While we have a strong and established team in place, we also have clear medium‑ to long‑term growth plans aligned to the UK’s energy investment pipeline. The right role may not be available immediately; however, we welcome early conversations with individuals whose skills align with our future needs.

This is an opportunity to join a market‑leading capability, contributing to complex, high‑profile projects while helping shape how we continue to evolve, innovate and deliver excellence across the UK power sector.

Whether you are an experienced HV specialist, a project or technical leader, or earlier in your career looking to develop within a recognised power consultancy, we would love to hear from you.

What’s in it for you?

• Join an industry‑leading team – Be part of a respected UK High Voltage capability with a strong track record of delivery.
• Work on nationally critical infrastructure – Contribute to major substation and cable projects supporting decarbonisation, resilience and future demand.
• Technical depth and support – Collaborate with highly experienced transmission and distribution specialists.
• Influence without starting from scratch – Shape future growth, innovation and ways of working within a mature, well‑established team.
• Clear progression opportunities – Continued investment in capability brings ongoing opportunities for technical and leadership development.
• Competitive rewards and benefits - We genuinely support your wellbeing, career development and life beyond work.

If you are passionate about power infrastructure and open to exploring future opportunities, we encourage you to express your interest.

This role is being advertised as an Expression of Interest. We’re keen to connect with talented individuals who are excited by the opportunity to continue to shape and grow our High Voltage capability. By expressing your interest, you’ll be part of the early conversations as we identify and prepare for upcoming opportunities.
