Do you dream of a world where construction projects don’t run on Excel?

Would you say that well-configured systems can be the key to unlock the mythical treasure of delivering capital projects on time and on budget?

Have you survived the rollercoaster of large-scale system implementation, managed to conquer the chaos, and somehow still want to continue on this journey?

Let’s talk!

We are Laminar Projects!

If you’ve already heard about us, you’re probably reading this because you’re tired of the typical, chaotic ways of doing things in construction. But in case you haven’t, we’re a high-end project management consultancy and tech developer with a focus on upgrading the way construction projects are delivered.

Improving construction strengthens the very foundation of human civilisation. (Check out our short film about it.)

We bring transparency and control to projects through a pragmatic mix of the latest tech, our own processes, and a big dose of common sense. We then take our deep understanding of these projects and we invest heavily into developing the digital solutions that anyone can use to deliver their projects better. (Check out Shape, our construction management tech, to see what we’re doing.)

The core of all this is our true secret sauce: our people. We only recruit the very best, both in capability and personality. We’re deeply focused on designing a new type of organisation that’s optimised for the flourishing of the people in the team first and foremost. People who join us develop fast as a whole person in ways they never imagined. (Read more about our vision and missions.)

This approach has allowed us to grow from just two people in 2017 to over 220 today. We have a stable, repeat client base across infrastructure and complex building projects in the UK and internationally, and we’re still growing fast. Joining us isn’t just some “job”. It’s a transformative educational experience. We challenge you to be your best self in all aspects of life. There are many diverse and interesting challenges available. It’s up to you to guide yourself into whichever areas you’re most interested – we’ll enable it.

(Get to know us better by watching a few more of our videos.)

Core values for a good life

A life of human flourishing is all about meaningful relationships and challenging yourself to create a positive impact, so our values reflect the four levels of relationships that each of us has:

- Grow yourself – your relationship with yourself

- Care about people – your relationship with others around you

- Execute to greatness – your relationship with your team

- Build civilisation – your relationship with humanity and the world

We enshrined our values in our vision:

We exist so that everyone in our team can flourish in a high-impact community that:

- Connects us with meaningful relationships

- Inspires us to develop ourselves to become better humans

- Empowers us to pursue our own learning adventures

By first doing this, we can achieve the highest levels of value for the world.

And enable the achievement of our vision through our two missions:

- To fully digitalise the construction of human civilisation

- To create a new type of organisation that enables human flourishing while delivering a huge positive impact on society

The Role

Purpose of the role

You will improve how some of the world's most interesting and complex construction projects are run. You'll do this by deploying Oracle Construction Systems, applying your planning and project controls background alongside strong people skills. The goal is to make life easier for everyone involved in project and programme delivery, ensuring projects are delivered on time and on budget.

We work with various systems, but for this role, we are specifically looking to build expertise in deploying Oracle Primavera Cloud (OPC) and/or Primavera Unifier.

We know most planners haven't touched OPC or Unifier before joining us, and that's fine. What matters most is that you already have a solid grounding in planning - ideally with hands-on experience in tools like Oracle Primavera P6 or similar - and the curiosity and drive to build new technical and commercial skills on top of that foundation. You'll get involved in implementation projects and support software sales by demonstrating the value of these tools to potential clients. Across all these areas, your excellent communication skills will be key.

You'll join a rapidly growing team responsible for sales and implementation of the project controls systems. There will be opportunities to work across projects, contribute to system sales, help shape internal processes, and get involved in business development activities.

Adaptability is key. Given our rapid growth, your focus might shift from Oracle systems to project controls, planning and digital transformation projects. If you're open to that kind of flexibility, this role is for you!

Team

This role is part of our Project Management Consultancy which focuses on:

Understanding what the real problems of projects are

Implementing the best solutions to those problems

Developing scalable best practices, tools and technology

More specifically you will join the Integrated Project Controls Systems (IPCS) team who are industry leaders in improving delivery of complex projects through deployment of the most suitable software on the market.

Your top three objectives

To make construction projects deliver to near perfection

To create scalable and repeatable solutions to common problems

To develop yourself and everyone around you

Your top 5 responsibilities

Support the implementation plan: Contribute to the system implementation plan and help drive software configuration and adoption to achieve desired outcomes.
Develop impactful solutions: Build on your planning and project controls background to help design and configure scalable, optimized and fit-for-purpose solutions on Oracle systems, with our support as you build up your systems expertise.
Engage stakeholders: Engaging all relevant stakeholders is key, ensuring they understand that the new processes and tools are designed to make their lives easier.
Develop yourself: Maximise your own development personally and professionally, and bring that energy to help clients and colleagues improve too.

Your Capabilities

We are looking for a self-driven individual with a solid planning background who is excited to grow into configuring and deploying flagship Oracle Construction systems. You don't need prior Oracle sales or implementation experience to apply — we'll train you on the systems side. What you do need is real planning experience, strong communication skills, and the drive to keep learning.

At Laminar, self-development is at the heart of what we do. If you are open to feedback, eager to learn, and motivated by a continuous growth journey that supports both personal and professional development, then keep reading; this role might be what you're looking for.

What matters most to us is your attitude, drive, and people skills. If you've got a solid planning foundation and are a natural communicator who easily builds strong relationships with project stakeholders and potential clients, this role could be perfect for you. Most importantly, you should enjoy the work and be excited to learn and grow along the way.

As a candidate, you should have:

Must-Have (The fundamentals)

- Planning background: Practical experience in a planning or project controls role in construction, infrastructure, or a related industry

- Language: Fluent Polish speaker (native or bilingual proficiency), alongside proficient written and verbal English

- Communication: Proficient communicator who can convey messages with clarity, motivate teams and lead meetings effectively. Kind and empathetic active listener, capable of giving and receiving constructive feedback.

- Ownership: Proactively take ownership of tasks, ask thoughtful questions, and think critically to stay on track

- Impact: A track record of making projects and organisations better beyond just doing the basics

Nice to Have (If you don't have it now you will be trained after joining)

- Mastery: Experience in sales and/or implementation of Oracle Systems (OPC, Primavera Unifier), Planning in Primavera P6, Analytics in Power BI, Cost Management, Project Management

- Communication: The charisma, influence and presence to get construction people to do new things and take the best approach

- Leadership: Experience mentoring or supporting the development of others

- Impact: A track record of implementing scalable and repeatable solutions in projects and organisations that had a significant positive impact

Laminar isn’t the place for you if any of the following is true:

- You want an easy, chilled-out role without much challenge

- You like to be the smartest person in the room

- You don’t like continuously receiving honest candid feedback

- You prefer to do your own thing rather than work with a team
