About the Role
MAGIQ Software, part of the Springbrook Software group, is looking for an ERP Business Consultant (Melbourne, Sydney, Western Australia or South Australia) to lead the implementation of our MAGIQ Cloud ERP, standalone modules and document solutions for public sector clients. You'll manage the full implementation journey from requirements gathering through configuration, training and go-live, while building strong customer relationships along the way.
You'll act as a Subject Matter Expert for our ERP modules, confidently train our customers, and work closely with our development, cloud, support and operations teams to ensure every implementation delivers high-value outcomes for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage customer relationships throughout implementation, ensuring planning, design and delivery are handled to a high standard.
- Gather and interpret customer requirements, then plan and configure the system to match via onsite or online workshops.
- Act as Subject Matter Expert for the ERP modules, providing technical and product expertise to customers.
- Deliver proactive, timely communication on project status, schedules and results.
- Conduct product demonstrations and deliver training sessions for end-users and administrators. (onsite and online).
- Contribute to written user guides and short training videos to support customer self-sufficiency.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure implementation tasks are delivered on agreed timelines.
- Feed customer insights back into product improvement, and role-model company values while collaborating on process improvements.
Key Skills and Experience
- Tertiary qualifications in Information Systems, Project Management, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2 years' experience using the MAGIQ Suite or an equivalent ERP product within a council, software implementation or pre-sales role.
- Strong knowledge of IT principles and practices.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to train groups and convey technical information effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into system configurations.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, building strong internal and external relationships.
- Proven ability to manage projects and meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality outcomes.
- Quick to pick up new software systems and processes.
- Highly proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly MS Word and MS Excel.
- Willingness to travel within Australia and New Zealand as required.
- A Class C driver's licence (Australia) or Class 1 driver's licence (NZ).
Desirable Skills
- Public sector experience as an ERP Subject Matter Expert, Software Consulting, Implementation, Project Management, or Pre-sales roles.
- Experience with, or curiosity about, AI-powered tools to improve workflow efficiency, documentation quality and delivery outcomes.
