Environmental Health and Safety ManagerWith their advanced expertise, the EHS Manager will support and reaffirm the development and application of the safety management system (SMS), including all elements, programs, and practices. The EHS Manager is also a key support person for the Pilot Midstream entities' process safety (PSM) requirements. The role will be a champion to stakeholders in permitting compliance processes, incident management, internal/external safety communications, development and delivery of EHS goals, and contractor/subcontractor safety engagement. The EHS Manager is expected to use their strong analytical and report-writing skills to review and assess leading and lagging indicators, identify trends, and develop SMS improvements and implementations.Responsibilities include championing the Pilot safety stand, vision, values, and Zero Starts with Me Principles with internal stakeholders and external contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors; assessing, identifying, and developing solutions to safety culture, SMS, and PSM internal challenges and external best practices; providing leadership to operational teams through coaching and training in the applications of EHS-specific programs, initiatives, and system elements; delivering solutions to a variety of complex EHS problems with judgment that is based on experience, qualification, and strong analytic skills, which allow for innovative decisions; developing and executing EHS goals and objectives that deliver a decrease in SIF-type and PSM events while also measurably increasing the application of the SMS elements; influencing and guiding internal and external stakeholders, such as operations, contractors, and subcontractors, to adopt best practices in EHS application to operations; developing function-based strategic goals to support stakeholders' EHS needs; leading incident investigations following the Why Tree, Ishikawa, DNV, or Tap Root methodology of analysis; developing, monitoring, and implementing Occupational Hygiene plans; implementing EHS-specific governance processes to ensure application of SMS, PSM, and regulatory compliance of Midstream operations; classifying incidents based on HECA and OSHA 300 for injuries; and creating and delivering local, regional, and enterprise-level presentations on EHS subjects.QualificationsBachelor's in occupational safety or equivalent degree with safety certificationPreferred: CSP (preference), CRSP, NEBOSH, or CMIOSH.10+ years of experience working in downstream/petrochemical or fuel terminals, with Process Safety experience.Experience with Regulatory Compliance.PermittingProcess Safety ManagementHuman Organizational PerformanceISO 45001 and ANSI Z10SiF and HECAExcellent written, verbal, and listening communication skillsDemonstrated ability to be innovative, tactical, initiate and manage change, work collaboratively, negotiate, lead, influence, facilitate, problem solve, be decisive, work independently, and deliver results.Attention to detail and organizational skillsUp to 50% travel as requiredOffice and fieldAble to pass pulmonary fitness test, SCBA mask fit test, and physicalAble to stoop, bend, reach and lift as required for the roleAvailable to work long hours as neededAdditional InformationWeekly pay and strong benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision)401(k) + Flexible Spending AccountsEmployee fuel discountTuition reimbursement to keep your career movingA people-first culture where your work is recognized and your success is celebratedThis position does not support immigration sponsorship.
