Entry Level Full Stack Engineer - Yelp Host (Remote Mexico)

Summary

Yelp engineering culture is driven by our values: we’re a cooperative team that values individual authenticity and encourages creative solutions to problems. All new engineers deploy working code their first week, and we strive to broaden individual impact with support from managers, mentors, and teams. At the end of the day, we’re all about helping our users, growing as engineers, and having fun in a collaborative environment.

Want to join a team where your work directly supports local businesses and leverages the latest in voice AI and LLM technology? The Yelp Host team builds innovative tools like our voice AI agent, which answers calls, takes orders, and manages reservations for restaurants. You’ll work in a collaborative, fast-moving environment, surrounded by experienced engineers eager to mentor and guide you as you build features that go live to users. Our goal is to provide an excellent experience for our users and businesses, and our full stack engineers get to dive into any area of the stack to make it happen.

As a Full Stack Engineer at Yelp, you will have the flexibility to tackle a variety of product and infrastructure challenges, mostly focused on the backend with some frontend exposure. You will have the opportunity to develop highly performant APIs on the backend, collaborate with other engineers on building AI-backed features to support user flows across voice and other modalities, as well as create the visual components our users interact with every day. If you enjoy gaining a broad understanding of how to build applications at scale, this is the role for you. If you’re motivated by solving real-world problems, learning from senior teammates, and working in production environments that leverage cutting-edge AI, this could be a great fit!

This opportunity is fully remote and does not require you to be located in any particular area in Mexico. We welcome applicants from throughout Mexico. We’d love to have you apply, even if you don’t feel you meet every single requirement in this posting. At Yelp, we’re looking for great people, not just those who simply check off all the boxes.
