No prior professional experience required.
Start your career with Entech Engineering and gain hands-on experience working on real engineering projects. As an Entry-Level Drafter, you’ll use AutoCAD and Civil 3D to help create and update drawings, incorporate design changes, and support engineers and senior design staff throughout the project process.
This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and looking to build a strong foundation in engineering design. Prior professional experience is not required, and relevant coursework, internships, or co-op experience may be considered.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Prepare plan-view drawings, sections, details, sketches, flow diagrams, and one-line diagrams from established design information.
- Incorporate redlines and reviewer comments accurately, maintaining drawing consistency and revision control.
- Assemble drawing cover sheets, legends, notes, standard details, sheet indexes, and supporting plan-set information.
- Generate plots, PDFs, and print sets as directed and verify basic sheet setup, scale, orientation, and legibility before distribution.
- Organize CAD files, references, layers, blocks, and project drawing folders in accordance with project and company standards.
- Coordinate routine drafting questions with project team members and communicate missing or conflicting information promptly.
- Perform basic quality checks for dimensions, labels, callouts, match lines, and consistency between plans, sections, and details.

- Civil 3D drafting exposure, including surfaces, alignments, profiles, pipe networks, or similar civil design
objects. - Experience reading engineering plans, markups, survey/base mapping, utility information, or construction
documents. - Familiarity with external references, sheet sets, CAD standards, title blocks, and file-naming conventions.
- Ability to convert sketches, field notes, and redlines into clear and accurate CAD deliverables.

infrastructure projects
ADDITIONAL NOTES
- Work is performed primarily in a collaborative office/design environment with regular computer and CAD
use. - The position is intended as a developmental drafting role and may receive progressively more complex
assignments as proficiency increases. - Occasional coordination with engineers, designers, project managers, survey staff, and other technical
disciplines may be required. - Project priorities and deadlines may require work on multiple drawing sets at different stages of completion
