In this role, you will partner with business and technology stakeholders to develop architecture strategies, roadmaps, standards, and governance frameworks that support VicRoads' strategic objectives. Provide specialist architecture expertise across security domains, partnering closely with Engineering, Cyber Security, and Operations teams to strengthen enterprise capability and inform strategic decision-making. Contribute to architecture governance forums, ensuring technology initiatives align with approved roadmaps, standards, and architectural direction, while providing guidance and assurance to solution delivery teams to support the design and implementation of effective, fit-for-purpose solutions.
• Leadership, architecture practice and mentoring: Support the growth and maturity of the architecture practice by mentoring Domain and Solution Architects and fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and architectural excellence. Promote best practices and knowledge sharing across architecture, security, operational, and business teams, while contributing to capability uplift and continuous improvement initiatives. Provide quality assurance and constructive feedback on architecture deliverables to ensure alignment with governance requirements, standards, and strategic objectives. Partner with the Head of Architecture to measure and demonstrate the business value delivered through architecture, leveraging metrics and insights to drive continual improvement and informed decision-making.
• Stakeholder Engagement and Influence: Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships across technology and business teams to understand organisational priorities, influence decision-making, and ensure architecture outcomes are aligned with business needs. Effectively communicate complex architectural concepts and domain strategies to a broad range of stakeholders, translating technical detail into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical audiences.
