May coordinate with LMR technical service provider on maintenance, software updates, and performance related concerns.
• Non-HQ Radio Systems Management: Provide technical LMR support, analysis, and guidance to non-HQ sites and coordinate with host radio system owner to address agency operational requirements.
• LMR Interoperability: Ensure that all sites have the necessary support to identify, develop, and maintain identified communications interoperability agreements and capabilities with local, state, and federal agencies, as appropriate.

Qualifications

• Experience: 2–4 years of hands-on experience with encrypted trunked and/or conventional LMR systems (e.g., Motorola, EF Johnson) and other communications devices (e.g., satellite phones, LMR interoperability solutions) used to support emergency and continuity operations. Experience with mass notification applications for alerting computer networks and phones (e.g., cellular, VoIP).
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with RF theory/propagation, antenna systems, basic LMR network design, key management facilities, key variable loader, and portable radio battery management processes.
