Embedded Software Engineer - Onsite in Manhattan Beach, CA

We are seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to join our team in Manhattan Beach, CA. This is a 12-month contract position focused on developing software for various flight, space, and ground systems operating in resource-constrained environments.

• Develop software that meets soft and hard real-time requirements.
• Implement complex data analysis, data routing, and control systems algorithms.
• Utilize C++ for both procedural and object-oriented software development.
• Work with real-time operating systems such as VxWorks or Linux.
• Collaborate in a fast-paced lab environment with rapid development cycles.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Software Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• 8+ years of software development experience.
• Proficiency in Object-Oriented software design and C++ programming.
• Experience working in a Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) environment (e.g., FreeRTOS, RT-Linux, GH Integrity).
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced lab environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience across various software life cycle phases, including architecture development, requirements definition, OO development, code and unit testing, and system integration.
• Familiarity with lab instruments such as noise and signal generators, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and power sources.
• Experience with hardware validation and verification of RF, digital, or mixed-signal devices.

Compensation: $60 - $90 per hour (W2)

Location and Work Arrangement: This position is located in Manhattan Beach, CA and is onsite only. Remote work is not an option.
