Builds and fields autonomy and vehicle intelligence software for drones (UAS) on embedded platforms: integrating autopilots, sensors, datalinks and ground control stations, running SIL/HIL testing, and supporting flight tests and customer demos. Core stack is modern C++, embedded Linux, Docker, and Pixhawk-family autopilots.
You will architect and field autonomy and vehicle intelligence systems on embedded platforms. You will integrate aircraft hardware and software, conduct SIL and HIL evaluations, participate in flight testing, troubleshoot integration issues, and support customer demonstrations.
Responsibilities
Build and adapt modular autonomy capabilities on embedded Linux and compute platforms
Integrate autonomy software with autopilots, datalinks, sensors, navigation systems, and ground control stations
Build service-oriented software and inter-process messaging frameworks for autonomous UAS
Perform system bring-up, SIL and HIL testing, validation, and live flight testing
Diagnose and resolve software and integration problems
Work with defense domain experts and UAS vendors to integrate software onto aircraft hardware
Requirements
3+ years of hands-on robotics experience across hardware, software, and systems integration
Modern C++ proficiency
Experience with Docker, containerized deployments, and Linux distributions
Experience with Git, GitLab, and Visual Studio Code
Experience integrating robotics or autonomy products with Pixhawk-family autopilots
