Rewired Consulting is partnering with an innovative Auckland-based technology company to recruit an experienced
Embedded & Application Engineer.
This is an opportunity to work on market-leading embedded products, developing software that powers connected hardware deployed internationally.
You'll join a collaborative engineering team where you'll contribute across the full software development lifecycle—from design and development through to testing, debugging and ongoing product enhancement.
What you'll be doing - Design, develop and maintain embedded software and firmware
- Develop new functionality and enhance existing products
- Work closely with hardware and software engineers to deliver high-quality solutions
- Debug embedded systems and resolve complex technical issues
- Participate in design discussions and technical planning
- Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code
- Contribute to continuous improvement and Agile development practices
What we're looking for - Commercial experience developing embedded software in C/C++
- Experience with Python
- Knowledge of embedded Linux environments
- Understanding of electronics and embedded hardware
- Experience working with communication protocols including SPI, I2C, USB, Serial or Ethernet
- Familiarity with Git and modern software development practices
- Experience using debugging tools such as JTAG, oscilloscopes or logic analysers is highly regarded
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach
