DV Cleared Data Engineers Wanted Mid to Senior AWS - Data Platforms - Hybrid

SC or DV Cleared Data Engineers Wanted - Mid to Senior | AWS / Data Platforms | UK (Hybrid)

£55,000 – £70,000 + bonus + benefits | Bristol / Manchester (hybrid)

Active SC or DV Clearance Required

I'm working with a successful multinational tech consultancy that has secured a number of long-term client programmes and is now looking to bring in several DV Cleared Data Engineers, from mid to senior level, to meet that demand.

If you're SC or DV cleared and have built your career on AWS, this is one where that depth gets used properly. You'll be working across a range of secure, high-impact programmes, building and owning the pipelines and platforms that sit underneath some genuinely complex client work, not just maintaining someone else's build.

What you'll be doing

It's a hands-on engineering role covering the full data lifecycle, from ingestion through to consumption, across different client environments and industries.

• Building and maintaining data pipelines end-to-end, from ingestion through to consumption
• Working with modern approaches like lakehouse and medallion architectures (Bronze, Silver, Gold)
• Building both batch and streaming pipelines depending on the use case
• Contributing to decisions around storage, orchestration, governance and security, not just executing a predefined design
• Working with data architects and stakeholders to turn business requirements into solid technical builds
• Operating in secure, regulated environments where attention to detail and sound judgement matter

Tech environment

It's an AWS-focused setup, so if you've built your career on AWS this is one where that depth actually gets used.

• AWS across the board, including S3, Glue, Redshift, Lake Formation and Kinesis
• Databricks and Snowflake running on top of AWS
• Spark and distributed processing frameworks for large-scale data
• Streaming technologies such as Kinesis or Kafka

You're expected to pick the right tools for the problem within the AWS ecosystem, not just default to whatever you know best.

What they're looking for

• Active SC or DV Clearance, must already be held
• Mid to senior level Data Engineers, hands-on with AWS
• Solid understanding of modern data patterns, lakehouse, medallion, streaming
• Experience building pipelines and platform components at scale
• Comfortable working alongside architects, clients and other engineers, not just heads down in isolation
• A practical mindset, someone who makes sensible trade-offs rather than over-engineering

Interested?

If you hold active SC or DV Clearance and want a role where you can build real data platforms across secure programmes, it's worth a conversation. Get in touch and I'll give you the full picture.
