Our mission
We all know great teachers change lives. That’s why Nimble’s mission is to help schools find and hire amazing educators for every classroom. Founded at Stanford University and backed by Y Combinator, Nimble brings a spirit of innovation to an industry that has often been overlooked by modern tech companies. Our software suite helps practitioners at all levels of the public education system address one of the industry’s most pressing challenges: recruiting life-changing teachers.
Our culture
While some Nimblers are former teachers, others come from companies across the tech and startup world. What unites us is that we find urgency and purpose in our mission of ensuring all students have access to amazing teachers. We have a culture of high ownership and ambitious goals. We balance this with employee trust and flexibility, which allows us to move efficiently without burnout.
We’re highly invested, not only in the mission, but also in each other. As a fully remote company, we’ve created rituals and traditions that allow us to bond from afar, and we look for teammates who will bring curiosity, creativity, humor, humility, and open-mindedness to work each day.
We’re a woman-founded company and a diverse team that has invested intentionally in creating a workplace where individuals from various backgrounds feel a deep sense of belonging.
The role
The District Partnerships Manager will execute and improve upon our school and district growth strategy, as part of a lean sales team.
Activities will include (but likely not be limited to):
- Driving District Outreach: Conduct a variety of creative outreach strategies that attract prospective district partners and communicate the Nimble value proposition in a compelling way; independently leverage experimentation and A/B testing to refine these strategies.
- Building Genuine Relationships: Engage in live phone/Zoom conversations with prospective school system partners to understand their needs and challenges, and determine whether Nimble is a good fit to support them in recruiting and hiring top talent. Stay involved in the relationship, playing an active role in annual renewals and expansions.
- Becoming a K-12 Hiring Subject Matter Expert: Deeply understand and document the nuances of existing K-12 hiring and recruitment tools, systems, and processes of prospective partner districts, providing insights to the Growth and Product teams.
- Strengthening Sales Operations: Manage our CRM database and processes, keep prospect lists clean, and independently monitor and improve the health of Nimble's outreach campaigns over time; hold yourself to a high standard of CRM data hygiene.
- Networking in the Field: Travel to conferences and other events to build relationships with prospective district partners.
Each member of our sales team handles end-to-end deals, from prospecting through close, and plays an active role in annual renewals.
