You will partner closely with product, architecture, and investment technology leaders to deliver scalable, resilient, and high-impact solutions supporting multi-asset investing and portfolio construction capabilities.

This is an ideal opportunity for a leader who is passionate about engineering excellence, talent development, AI-driven software engineering transformation, and building modern investment technology platforms.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

• Proven experience leading and developing high-performing engineering teams, including direct management of approximately 8–10 software engineers.
• Deep technical expertise across modern engineering stacks, cloud-native platforms, and enterprise-scale software delivery.
• Hands-on experience using and driving adoption of AI-assisted engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, and similar technologies.
• Ability to influence technical direction, partner effectively with product leadership, and translate strategy into scalable business solutions.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and coaching skills with a passion for engineering excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.

The Value You Deliver

• Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of software engineers while fostering a strong culture of accountability and innovation.
• Drive delivery of strategic technology initiatives supporting portfolio construction and multi-asset investment capabilities.
• Accelerate engineering productivity and quality through adoption of AI-enabled software development practices and tools.
• Partner closely with product and technology leaders to align engineering execution with business priorities and client outcomes.
• Deliver scalable, resilient, and high-quality technology solutions using modern engineering practices and cloud-native architectures.

The Team

Within Fidelity Asset Management Solutions (FAMS), our technology organization builds and supports the platforms that power portfolio construction, asset allocation, analytics, and risk management across a broad range of multi-asset investment solutions.

Our engineers develop scalable, cloud-native applications and services supporting investment professionals across the full investment lifecycle. Teams leverage modern technologies including Java, Angular, Kafka, Oracle, and cloud-native architectures to deliver high-impact investment technology solutions.

FAMS is also making a significant strategic investment in AI-enabled engineering practices and developer productivity transformation. We are actively adopting tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, and other emerging AI technologies to modernize software development, improve quality, and accelerate delivery across engineering teams.
