Director of IT Service Delivery and Experience

About Knox

Knox Grammar School is an independent Uniting Church school on Sydney’s North Shore, educating boys from Kindergarten to Year 12 across day and boarding. Wahroonga Preparatory School, our co-educational campus, teaches students from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 6. Within a caring Christian environment, we help young people grow in faith, wisdom, integrity, compassion and courage.

About the role

The Director of IT Service Delivery and Experience lead the foundational technology our community uses every day: the modern workplace, devices, and the support behind them. Our aim is technology so well-considered it is felt but not seen. Success in this role looks like help that arrives fast, feels human, and tools that simply work.

You lead a team of Analysts, Specialists and Modern Workplace Engineers, and deliver through them. You report to the Chief Information Officer and are the escalation point for the Executive. There is real growth happening across Knox Technology Services, including our Microsoft 365 transition, device upgrades and a service-management uplift. The role works across all our campuses in Wahroonga.

What you’ll own

• The quality and reliability of day-to-day service across our campuses.

• The modern-workplace foundation: Microsoft 365, endpoints, identity, voice, and print, kept current, secure and consistent.

• The support experience across walk-in, phone and online, measured on what matters to the people using it.

• Our service-management practice, and the influence to see it applied well beyond your own team.

• The growth of your people, with honest development plans for Analysts, Specialists and Engineers.

About you

Although you’re capable and love solving problems you get results by building a strong team. Senior leaders trust your advice, you stay calm when things break, and you judge the service by what students, staff and families actually experience.

• Seven to ten years or more leading IT service delivery, modern workplace or end-user computing across multiple sites.

• A record of lifting user experience and adoption, not just meeting service levels.

• Strong command of service management, from incidents and change through to program delivery.

• The technical depth to solve hard problems yourself, and the judgement to escalate well.

• A relevant degree. ITIL or similar certification is well regarded.

What we offer

• An attractive package plus superannuation, under the Independent Schools NSW (Professional and Operational Staff) Cooperative Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2025.

• A senior seat shaping Technology Services strategy.

• Discounted school fees, professional development, an Employee Assistance Program, and an onsite café.
