Director of Data Science

Who You Are

You are passionate about leveraging data, machine learning/AI and are focused on execution to improve patient outcomes. Your mandate will be to build a worldclass data science function that develops, deploys and maintains data marts and machine learning models as well as assesses the impact of our clinical interventions. You care deeply about outcomes and impact. You are a collaborative leader who can help bridge the gap between clinical strategy, operational execution and technology. You have rich experience with health plan (claims, eligibility, pharmacy) and clinical (EMR, HIE) data. You can build data-marts in DBT and leverage those data marts to build new machine learning models.

Who We Are

Oasis Health Partners (Oasis) is an all-in-one partner for independent primary care practices. We focus on Medicare value-based care programs, including Medicare Advantage and MSSP, and surround practices with the practical support they need to deliver better care while building durable, independent businesses.

Our model helps physicians spend more time on proactive, high-value care for seniors while Oasis brings the data, tools and team to support them behind the scenes. We are building a fast-growing network of independent PCPs and IPAs, backed by leading healthcare investors and scaling into new markets as we expand our suite of provider solutions. We are committed to keeping independent medicine strong — and we are looking for people who want to build that future with us.

Together, we will boldly advance primary care for those that need it most. We are excited for you to join us on this journey. We invite you to be a part of Oasis, where you will discover we do the right thing, build things together and go all in --- all while having fun!

Your Role

The Director of Data Science creates the foundation for our data science platform. Your role will be to help lead the data and analytics function and own the predictive modeling capabilities end to end. You will need a deep understanding of the statistics behind the machine learning models as well as experience the ML Ops side to productionalize and scale model creation and maintanance. You will also join a “workstream” and provide analytical support for a domain at Oasis. This will involved close collaboration with Executive leaders, Operations, Clinical, Product, Finance and the rest of the tech team. This will also require building sophisticated analytical data models to help support the overall data needs of the organization. This role is an individual contributor role with likely opportunities on the people management side within 12 months.

As a Director of Data Science, you will:

• Own our machine learning strategy and execution
• Collaborate within the tech team, clinical, and operations to implement best-in-class clinical interventions
• Set up analytics data models in DBT
• Identify additional sources of data we can use to identify / risk stratify patients for intervention, and understand the impact of our program
• Build out predictive models to identify high risk patients
• Utilize AI/LLMs to advance patient and provider engagement
• Analyze clinical data we receive from payors and providers
• Analyze clinical program performance
• Analyze workflow and operational data
• Develop the analytics layer to support executive and operational dashboards

Investment In Our Team

We invest in the personal and professional success of our team. We take care of our people and offer robust benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401k, and generous time off plans. We are committed to supporting your growth with a development program that starts with onboarding and continues throughout your career. As an inclusive, passionate, and diverse team, you will partner with professionals who understand the importance of high-value, high-impact patient care.

We invite you to be a part of Oasis, where you will discover we listen first, build things together, always do the right thing, have fun and most importantly, are all in!
