Fully remote director-level role leading enterprise data engineering: setting data strategy, modernizing cloud data platforms (warehouses, lakes, lakehouses), and governing data quality to enable analytics, AI, and BI. Core tech spans AWS/Azure/GCP, Informatica, Databricks, Snowflake, Airflow, dbt, and Power BI.
We are seeking an experienced Director of Data Engineering to lead our enterprise data engineering strategy, platform modernization, and operational excellence initiatives. This role will drive the design, governance, reliability, and scalability of our data ecosystem while enabling analytics, AI, and business intelligence capabilities across the organization. The Director will partner with technology and business leaders to deliver secure, trusted, and business-ready data solutions that support organizational growth and innovation.
Up to 10% travel, based on business needs. While our roles are 100% remote, we do get together a few times a year for up to one week. Employees are given ample notice and attendance is expected.
This position operates primarily in a remote work environment and requires the ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods while performing work at a desk or workstation. The employee must be able to operate standard office equipment, including a computer, keyboard, mouse, webcam, and telephone.
The role also requires the ability to occasionally move throughout a workspace to access files, office equipment, and work-related materials. Effective communication, both written and verbal, is essential for interacting with employees, clients, and stakeholders.

Staritas posts compensation ranges and benefits for all open roles. The base compensation range for this position is $165,000 - $175,000annually, plus a comprehensive benefits package. Compensation offered will depend on factors including experience, skills, geographic location, and internal equity.
