Looking for Philippines-based candidates
Job Role: Digital Marketing Manager
Compensation range: $2,000 - 3,000 AUD / Monthly
Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement
Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.
Who We Are: At Hunt St, we help Australian companies hire top remote talent in the Philippines. For this role, you will be engaged directly by the client as an independent contractor. We are not an outsourcing agency. All of our roles are 100% remote so you'll be able to work from home.
Who The Client Is: The company is a growing Australian craft beverage business producing premium spirits and drinks inspired by native ingredients and the unique character of the Australian landscape. Founded as a family-run business, it has built a strong reputation for quality, sustainability and responsible business practices. With an established presence in Australia and growing international ambitions, the business is at an exciting stage of expansion. Its team is values-driven and passionate about building distinctive brands with long-term growth potential.
Role Overview: We're looking for a commercially and strategically minded Digital Marketing Manager to own and grow our e-commerce channel. This is a role for a marketing mind, not a task-taker. The tools Shopify, Klaviyo, paid media, content are how the work gets delivered; what matters most is a strong foundation in digital marketing strategy, a genuine understanding of our brand and products, and the judgement and autonomy to bring the brand to life and run the function. “Manager” reflects ownership of the digital marketing function, its strategy and its results, rather than managing a team.
This is deliberately not a “here's the plan, go execute” role. In your first 30–60 days you'll immerse yourself in the brand and products, audit where our channels and performance sit, and then co-create our 12-month digital marketing strategy together with our founder a plan you help build and own from the start, aligned to our brand direction and business objectives. From there you'll own delivery through rolling two-month execution plans, with weekly performance reporting and monthly strategy sessions. You'll also be our go-to person for using AI to work smarter across the marketing function.
Prior experience in the alcohol, beverage or hospitality industries is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Digital Marketing Strategy & Brand
- Deeply learn our brand, products and customers, and bring the brand to life consistently and compellingly across every digital channel.
- Co-create our 12-month digital marketing strategy with the founder, and own it from day one — aligned to our brand direction and business objectives.
- Bring genuine marketing judgement on where to focus and invest, translating brand and commercial goals into a clear digital plan.
2. E-commerce Growth & Performance
- Own online sales growth, revenue, conversion rate, average order value and ROAS — against agreed targets.
- Plan and manage the digital marketing budget, and report clearly on performance and return.
- Use data and analytics to prioritise activity, optimise the funnel and make the case for where to invest.
- Deliver through rolling two-month execution plans, with weekly reporting and monthly strategy sessions.
3. Paid Advertising (Google & Meta)
- Plan, execute and optimise paid campaigns across Google Ads and Meta (Facebook & Instagram).
- Manage ad budgets to ROAS/CPA targets, and continually test and improve creative, audiences and landing pages.
4. Email & CRM (Klaviyo)
- Build and optimise Klaviyo flows and campaigns — welcome, abandoned cart, post-purchase, win-back and more — and strengthen our existing flow structure, an area we're keen to build out.
- Segment and personalise to drive retention, repeat purchase and lifetime value, with a revenue lens on performance.
5. Website & Conversion (Shopify)
- Advanced Shopify management — merchandising, product launches, landing pages, apps and on-site campaigns.
- Drive conversion rate optimisation (CRO) and a smooth, on-brand customer experience; keep listings, imagery and promotions accurate.
6. Social, PR & Influencer
- Plan and manage social content calendars across Instagram, Facebook and emerging platforms.
- Coordinate PR and influencer marketing to grow reach, credibility and brand equity, including seeding around new product launches.
7. Trade Marketing Support (On-premise & Off-premise)
- Support marketing activity for on-premise (venues, bars) and off-premise (retail) channels to drive sell-through and brand visibility.
8. Content & Design
- Use Canva to produce web banners, social content and EDM graphics that ship campaigns quickly and stay on-brand.
- Edit and refine photo and video from our on-site shoots into polished, channel-ready assets, and repurpose user-generated content.
- Note: complex brand and product design — NPD, packaging, labels and logo — is handled separately by a dedicated project-based designer.
9. Pricing & Commercial Planning
- Support AU product pricing, promotional planning, and budget and cost planning — protecting margin while driving volume and growth.
10. AI & Innovation
- Act as our AI champion for marketing — using AI tools to speed up content, planning and reporting, and bringing forward new AI-enabled ways of working for the role and the wider team.

- A self-directed, high-autonomy operator who takes ownership of a function and drives outcomes without being managed task to task.
