Digital Marketing Account Manager

Digital Marketing Account Manager – Google Business Profile & Local SEO | Remote

Position Type: Full-Time, Remote
Working Hours: U.S. Business Hours

About the Role

At Pavago, one of our clients is hiring a hands-on Digital Marketing Account Manager to manage and optimize digital marketing performance across a portfolio of approximately 15–20 client accounts.

This role is heavily focused on Google Business Profile (GBP) optimization and local SEO, particularly for businesses in the storage, parking, and local-service industries.

This is not a strategy-only account management position. You’ll personally execute optimizations, analyze local search performance, prepare reports, lead monthly client conversations, and identify opportunities to improve both client retention and account growth.

The ideal candidate combines strong digital marketing execution skills with the confidence to independently manage client relationships and communicate performance clearly.

What You’ll Own

Google Business Profile & Local SEO

• Manage and optimize Google Business Profiles to improve local visibility and search rankings
• Execute local SEO strategies across client accounts
• Optimize key local ranking factors, including:
• Citations
• NAP consistency
• Reviews
• Local search visibility
• Monitor local search performance and identify opportunities for ongoing optimization
• Personally implement improvements rather than simply providing strategic recommendations
• Continuously evaluate account performance and adjust optimization efforts accordingly

Client Account Management

• Independently manage approximately 15–20 client accounts
• Own accounts from marketing execution through reporting and client communication
• Maintain consistent communication and follow-up with clients
• Lead monthly client meetings to review performance, insights, and recommendations
• Build strong client relationships while maintaining accountability for marketing results
• Keep client priorities, deliverables, and next steps organized

Reporting & Performance Analysis

• Prepare clear and concise monthly marketing performance reports
• Analyze campaign and local search data to identify trends and opportunities
• Translate performance data into actionable recommendations for clients
• Pull and compile data from internal platforms and marketing tools
• Track account performance over time
• Identify potential risks and opportunities related to retention and account growth

Marketing Tools & Technology

• Select and manage the digital marketing tools needed to execute and optimize client accounts
• Evaluate tools based on performance, efficiency, and client requirements
• Research and recommend new platforms when appropriate
• Quickly learn unfamiliar software and marketing platforms
• Extract and interpret relevant performance data across different systems

Client Retention & Account Growth

• Identify opportunities to improve client satisfaction and retention
• Recognize appropriate upsell opportunities within existing accounts
• Use marketing performance insights to strengthen client relationships
• Proactively address potential account concerns
• Support long-term account growth through consistent execution and communication

Internal Collaboration

• Coordinate with internal account teams to provide a seamless client experience
• Support white-glove ALO accounts with marketing execution and performance reporting
• Provide marketing data and insights to the COO for client reporting when required
• Keep internal stakeholders informed about account performance, risks, and opportunities

Requirements

• Approximately 5 years of hands-on digital marketing experience, with a strong focus on execution
• Proven experience optimizing Google Business Profiles
• Strong understanding of local SEO, including:
• Local ranking factors
• Citations
• NAP consistency
• Review strategies
• Local search performance
• Experience independently managing multiple client accounts simultaneously
• Previous client-facing or account management experience
• Strong ability to select, operate, and evaluate digital marketing tools
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret marketing performance data
• Ability to quickly learn new software platforms and extract relevant performance information
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Self-directed and comfortable working without micromanagement
• Professional spoken English suitable for client-facing communication
• Availability during U.S. business hours

Nice to Have

• Experience working in a digital marketing agency or white-label environment
• Experience with storage, parking, local-service, or other location-based businesses
• Experience presenting monthly marketing reports directly to clients
• Experience identifying upsell and client retention opportunities
• Experience working with Google Business Profile, local SEO, reporting, and analytics tools

What Makes You a Strong Fit

You’ll likely thrive in this role if you:

• Are a hands-on marketer who enjoys executing and optimizing, not just creating strategies
• Have strong practical knowledge of Google Business Profile and local SEO
• Can independently manage 15–20 client accounts without losing attention to detail
• Are comfortable being accountable for marketing performance
• Can turn performance data into clear, actionable improvements
• Confidently present results and recommendations directly to clients
• Proactively identify opportunities instead of waiting for instructions
• Learn new platforms and marketing tools quickly
• Can balance execution, reporting, client communication, and account growth

What Success Looks Like

• Improved Google Business Profile and local search performance across client accounts
• Consistent execution of local SEO optimizations
• Accurate and useful monthly client reporting
• Strong client communication and relationship management
• Organized management of approximately 15–20 accounts
• Proactive identification of performance improvement opportunities
• Strong client retention and satisfaction
• Identification of appropriate upsell and account growth opportunities

What a Typical Day Looks Like

Your day may include reviewing local search performance across client accounts, optimizing Google Business Profiles, addressing citation or NAP consistency issues, and analyzing opportunities to improve rankings.

You may then prepare performance reports, lead a monthly client meeting, pull data from internal platforms, coordinate with internal account teams, or identify an opportunity to improve retention or expand an account.

In short: you own both the hands-on marketing execution and the client relationship needed to drive measurable results.
