DevOps / Release Engineer

About the Role
We’re looking for a hands-on DevOps / Release Engineer to own and support deployment processes, CI/CD pipelines, and platform operations across Development, QA, and Production environments.
You’ll help developers move code safely into production, maintain the infrastructure and tooling behind application delivery, and troubleshoot issues when things go wrong.
This is a highly operational role focused on release quality, developer enablement, infrastructure reliability, and fast problem-solving.
The Challenge
You’ll be responsible for keeping the software delivery process reliable across multiple environments.
Your work will include:
- Managing QA and Production deployments
- Supporting developers with environment and deployment issues
- Maintaining CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling
- Troubleshooting production and release issues
- Managing monitoring, logging, and observability systems
- Supporting AWS infrastructure and Linux servers
- Maintaining secrets, configurations, repositories, and code quality workflows
- Supporting mobile application releases
Must-Have
- CI/CD: Jenkins — strong hands-on experience managing and maintaining pipelines
- Deployment & Release Management — hands-on experience managing deployments across Development, QA, and Production environments
- Production Troubleshooting — strong experience troubleshooting deployment, runtime, environment, and production issues
- Cloud: AWS — hands-on experience supporting infrastructure across multiple environments, including API Gateway, CloudFront, DNS, and IAM/ACLs
- Systems: Linux / Debian — strong administration experience, including Apache, Nginx, background services, troubleshooting, and system maintenance
- Source Control: Git / Bitbucket — experience with repository management, branching, and release workflows
- Developer Support — experience supporting engineering teams with environment issues, access requests, deployment failures, and production incidents
Important / Flexible Skills
- Monitoring & Logging: Sumo Logic or similar logging/observability platforms — experience with collectors, ingestion, dashboards, and monitoring configuration
- Monitoring: Datadog or similar monitoring/observability platforms — experience with agents, monitoring visibility, access, and production systems
- Code Quality: SonarCloud or similar code quality tools — experience with quality checks, integrations, and token management
- Secrets Management: HashiCorp Vault or similar secrets/configuration management tools
- Log Management: experience with log formatting and ingestion strategies, including Apache and Gunicorn
Nice to Have
- Containerization: Docker
- HashiCorp ecosystem: Nomad, Consul
- Backend technologies: PHP (CodeIgniter), Python (Flask)
- Experience supporting mobile release pipelines
- Experience with Apple App Store and Google Play Store releases
- Experience with TestRail
