How do you make it easier for 8,000+ engineers to find the right IT service at the right moment? Shape a developer-friendly platform that helps 8,000+ engineers find, use and reuse IT services.
As DevOps Engineer – Store, you know the secrets of building products that feel simple in a complex engineering landscape. You help expand Rabobank’s Service Store, making IT services easier to find, reuse and improve. You work mainly on the front end, while keeping the full product in view: from user needs and service insights to secure, scalable delivery in the cloud.
What kind of challenges could land on your sprint board?
Improving the Service Store so engineers can find and reuse Rabobank-wide IT services more easily.
Building clear user journeys in Nexa, the central place for IT, together with service providers and engineering teams.
Creating insights into services, so teams can make better choices about the tools they use every day.
What gives this role its reach and relevance?
36 hours per week.
8,000+ engineers use the engineering landscape you help improve.
Over 48,000 Rabobank colleagues worldwide.
Where will you make the biggest difference?
Build and improve front-end features for the Service Store, using technologies such as React, TypeScript and JavaScript.
Help make Rabobank-wide IT services easier to find, reuse and manage in a scalable and compliant way.
Work with your squad and service providers to turn user needs into practical solutions, user stories and product improvements.
You also contribute to a broader platform ecosystem around Nexa. That means thinking beyond one feature or one team, and helping create a product that works well for engineers across Rabobank.
What happens when engineering, product thinking and curiosity come together?
We believe in the power of differences. By combining people's differences, we become an even better bank. We are curious about what you will bring to our team at Engineering Journey.
‘You really get the space here to drive product innovation that impacts thousands of engineers daily, and you can feel the transformation you are creating,’
The 8 squads of Engineering Journey help make tools and services easier to find, reuse and build on. Collaboration is our way of working; as one solution-oriented team within Rabobank. You work with colleagues who think from the user’s point of view, challenge each other with sharp questions and keep improving the platform together.
How do you want to grow while helping others build better technology?
For us, your development and that of society go hand in hand. That is why we want to invest in you and work together to create a better world. We summarize this in one sentence: “at Rabobank, you work on yourself and the world around you simultaneously.”
This is reflected in your personal development budget, our hybrid work environment, and a good work-life balance. You can also work on banking matters for our personal and business clients, as well as on social issues like the food and energy transitions.
What could you add to a team that becomes stronger through different views?
At Rabobank, we are working toward a culture where everyone feels welcome. We value our differences and use them to collaborate more effectively and make better decisions. We do this step by step, paying attention to what is going well and to the areas where we can continue to improve. By being open to different perspectives, we are creating an environment where colleagues feel heard. That helps us build an organization where people enjoy working—and where we truly understand and serve our customers.
To complete our Service Store team, we are looking for a DevOps engineer who thinks from the user's point of view and is a proactive team player. You not only focus on the technical aspects of the work at hand but also have an eye for the broader picture. Besides that, you are curious about how others are doing, bring sharpness to the discussion and challenge your colleagues.
