Do you dare to improve systems that millions of transactions depend on? Behind reliable payment processing lies technology that must perform every day. By making deployment processes smarter, safer and more efficient, you enable engineers to deliver value faster.
Somewhere behind the scenes, technology is running that almost no one sees, but everyone relies on. Payments need to be processed, DevOps teams want to deliver faster, deployments need to land flawlessly, and that is exactly where you come in. As a DevOps Engineer Software Control & Deployment, you make the z/OS environment not only more stable, but also smarter, more modern and more scalable. You bring mainframe expertise, preferably from a system management background, and use modern automation technologies to take management and deployment processes to the next level.
This role is for someone who looks beyond resolving incidents. You recognise patterns, connect teams and translate technical complexity into solutions that continue to deliver results. Version control, deployment, automation and pipeline improvement are not separate tasks to you, but part of a bigger picture: enabling DevOps teams to deliver software to production reliably, securely and with greater speed.
You work in a modern mainframe environment where traditional reliability is combined with contemporary DevOps principles. You will work with, among other things:
We believe in the power of differences. By combining people's differences, we become an even better bank. We are curious about what you will bring to our team at APF Generic Infrastructural Services. Within APF Generic Infrastructural Services (GIS), around 100 colleagues combine their knowledge and energy to modernise, manage and future-proof the mainframe environment. You will join a professional team with room for initiative, knowledge sharing and diverse perspectives.
We believe that strong technology is built in diverse teams. That is why we actively encourage talent that brings fresh perspectives. Whether you have many years of experience in mainframe technology or want to grow into z/OS from a background in DevOps, software engineering or technical operations, we would love to hear your story.
For us, your development and that of society go hand in hand. That is why we invest in you and work together to create a better world. This is reflected in your personal development budget, our hybrid work environment and a healthy work-life balance. You can also contribute to initiatives that support customers and society while helping Rabobank achieve its mission of Growing a better world together.
At Rabobank, we are working towards a culture where everyone feels welcome. We value our differences and use them to collaborate more effectively and make better decisions. By being open to different perspectives, we create an environment where colleagues feel heard and respected. That helps us build an organisation where people enjoy working and where we truly understand and serve our customers.
You are analytically strong, customer-focused and results-driven. You move easily between people, processes and technology. Complex technical challenges energise you, especially when working with colleagues to create solutions that truly work.
We welcome you to apply even if you do not meet all the criteria. We look forward to your application if you recognise yourself in the core of this role, have an affinity with mainframe technology, DevOps and automation, and want to grow in an environment where your expertise matters.
This role is open internally until at least August 18th end of day (the role may be published on our career page after that and the closing date may be extended until we find the right candidate).
