A hands-on DevOps/Platform Engineer owns the Kubernetes (AWS EKS) platform, AWS cloud infrastructure, CI/CD GitOps pipelines, and observability stack for a Sweden-based iGaming client's large-scale microservices environment. 100% remote within Malaysia on a 12-month contract using Terraform, ArgoCD, Cilium, and Grafana tooling.

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer (Platform Engineering) to join a technology-driven company operating in the international iGaming industry.
Our client is a Sweden-based organisation providing and managing cloud infrastructure and technology platforms for online gaming, betting and casino businesses. The company operates a large-scale AWS environment hosted in Singapore, supporting over 100 microservices.
In this role, you will take ownership of the Kubernetes platform, AWS cloud infrastructure, CI/CD ecosystem and observability services, ensuring the reliability, scalability and performance of business-critical systems.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on DevOps Engineer who enjoys platform ownership, automation and solving complex infrastructure challenges in a high-availability environment.
Own, manage and optimise AWS EKS environments and Kubernetes platform services.
Maintain and develop platform technologies, including ArgoCD, Kargo, Cilium, Karpenter, Crossplane, Vault, ECR and Velero.
Design, implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
Manage observability and monitoring solutions, including Grafana, Loki, Mimir and Tempo.
Ensure platform stability, scalability, security and operational reliability.
Plan and execute platform upgrades, backup and recovery procedures.
Support incident management, root-cause analysis and service restoration.
Improve CI/CD pipelines, GitOps workflows and deployment automation.
Identify opportunities for cloud cost optimisation and infrastructure efficiency.
Collaborate with engineering and infrastructure teams to continuously improve platform performance and resilience.
Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes administration in production environments.
Solid expertise in AWS cloud infrastructure, particularly Amazon EKS.
Practical experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
Good understanding of GitOps principles, CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
Strong Linux administration skills, including scripting and automation.
Experience with monitoring, logging and observability solutions.
Understanding of cloud infrastructure reliability, scalability and disaster recovery.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to take ownership of complex infrastructure environments and work independently.
Excellent communication skills and English proficiency at C1 level.
Experience with ArgoCD, Kargo or other GitOps delivery tools.
Knowledge of Cilium, Karpenter or Crossplane.
Experience with HashiCorp Vault, AWS ECR or Velero.
Familiarity with the Grafana observability stack (Grafana, Loki, Mimir, Tempo).
Previous experience supporting large-scale microservices architectures.
Background in iGaming, betting, casino or other high-availability digital platforms.
100% remote work from Malaysia – no relocation required.
