Our client is seeking a skilled Dev Ops Engineer with a passion for automation to join their innovative IT and Software team, serving the Port Elizabeth area. This role is crucial for bridging the gap between software development and IT operations, ensuring the efficient deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of our client's applications. You will be instrumental in implementing and managing robust CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure, and enhancing system reliability and scalability. Key Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable CI/CD pipelines for automated software deployment and testing. Implement and manage infrastructure as code (Ia C) using tools like Terraform or Ansible for provisioning and configuration management. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure high availability and reliability of applications. Collaborate with development and operations teams to streamline workflows and improve overall system efficiency. Implement and manage containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. Develop scripting solutions to automate repetitive operational tasks and enhance system operations. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 3+ years of experience in a Dev Ops or SRE role. Proficiency with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git Lab CI, Circle CI) and scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python). Strong understanding of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure as code principles.
