Developer relations engineer at an early-stage AI infrastructure company in San Francisco: builds and hosts local AI/ML meetups, creates technical content, live-demos Python tools, and connects community activity (Mixpanel, GitHub APIs, Attio) to product and growth outcomes.
This developer relations role sits at the intersection of technical community building, developer advocacy, and growth at an early-stage AI infrastructure company. You will help establish its San Francisco presence, connect with developers building in AI and machine learning, and turn community insights into measurable product and go-to-market outcomes.
Build and host recurring meetups for the San Francisco AI and machine learning infrastructure community.
Represent the company at relevant meetups, hackathons, and conferences, and build lasting relationships with developers.
Create and share technical content, including talks, blog posts, social content, and demo videos.
Demonstrate Python-based tools live, answer technical questions, read code, and troubleshoot with engineering audiences.
Connect product usage, GitHub activity, and CRM data using tools such as Mixpanel, GitHub APIs, and Attio to support lead scoring and follow-up.
Share community feedback and market signals with product and go-to-market teams.
At least 2 years of experience in developer relations, community building, growth, or developer-facing go-to-market work, with measurable event or business outcomes.
Proficiency with Python, APIs, and production code, and the ability to demo technical products and troubleshoot live.
Experience building and measuring community engagement workflows with CRM, enrichment, automation, and LLM-based tools.
Background in an early-stage or resource-constrained environment, with the ability to own initiatives independently.
Experience creating technical content and working with open-source communities, GitHub audiences, and product-led or usage-based growth.
Familiarity with AI, machine learning infrastructure, MLOps, or related developer platforms, plus a professional network in the San Francisco community.
Annual salary range: $160,000 to $220,000 USD. Visa sponsorship is not available.
