Developer Full-Stack React

What is Equisoft? Equisoft is a global provider of digital solutions for insurance, wealth, and investment, trusted by more than 250 of the world’s largest financial institutions. Our UK team builds and runs leading SaaS platforms used across the pensions and investment industries — helping financial-services firms move, invest, and manage client assets efficiently and securely.

Why Choose Equisoft? We’re at an exciting point in our UK growth. Our products are established and respected, but we’re now evolving our technology — introducing Docker, a modern C# and JavaScript framework, and new engineering practices that will shape how we build for years to come.

It’s a great time to join if you enjoy being part of change: patient enough to understand that transformation takes time, but eager to help make it happen.

You’ll join a small, influential team that punches well above its weight in the industry. Your ideas and contribution will genuinely matter here. We value curiosity, initiative, and attention to detail far more than formal qualifications. We’re looking for people who want to understand the financial-services domain, not just the tech, and who care about being part of a team rather than just holding a role.

You’ll find us in our new Bath office where we all meet on Wednesdays and Thursdays — the rest of the week is flexible and remote if you desire.

• Hiring Location: UK (Bath)
• Full-time permanent role
• Internal job title: Developer
• Salary between £45,000 to £50,000
• Benefits from day 1: Private Medical Insurance, Life Insurance, Pension Matched Contribution, etc.
• Number of hours per week: 37.5
• Flexible hours
• Educational Support (LinkedIn Learning and dedicated training time)

Your Role: You’ll join a close-knit group of developers reporting to the development manager, working on some of the UK’s most trusted fintech products — including Equisoft/transfer, /pay, /trade and Pension Fusion.

These SaaS solutions power key processes for leading investment and pension providers: transferring portfolios, handling pension payroll and tax reporting, and providing data for the UK Government’s Pensions Dashboard Programme — a national initiative that will let individuals see all their pensions in one place.

We’re looking for a developer with a focus on front-end technologies, particularly React, to help modernize our products. We’re not just looking for someone to build what’s in front of them — we’re looking for someone who wants to grow with us, contribute ideas, and help shape the front-end of our products. As all our developers work across the full stack, you should also be comfortable working with other technologies such as .NET, C# and SQL Server.

Your Day with Equisoft:

• Design and implement new features and products and build upon the application architecture for our range of software-as-a-service (SaaS) products. For us, this means writing code that is user centric, robust, high-performance and secure.
• Most of your development time will be spent with .NET and C# but we require all developers to work with our JavaScript front-end and our SQL Server database as well.
• Conduct unit testing, using a test-driven development approach where appropriate and work closely with the test team to ensure the quality of the software.
• Submit your code for review by colleagues to identify issues early.
• Review your colleagues’ code. We want to benefit from your input and expertise!
• Actively participating in the various agile meetings (the daily, retrospective, etc.) of your team. We want to hear your opinions!

Requirements:

Technical

• Around 3–5 years’ experience as a developer (or equivalent capability).
• Experience with front-end technologies: React, TypeScript, JavaScript, CSS and HTML
• Comfortable working across a stack including C#, .NET and SQL Server.
• Experience collaborating in small, cross-functional teams.
• Clear written and spoken English.

We care more about skill, curiosity, and drive than about degrees. If you’ve learned your craft through experience rather than academia, that’s absolutely fine.

Soft skills

• Enthusiastic about software development, continued learning and improvement.
• A strong problem-solver.
• A good eye for detail and show consideration for end-user interactions.
• Initiative-taking and enthusiastic.
• Strong sense of organization and prioritizing.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate, write and synthesize information.
• Ability to multi-task in a rapid-paced environment.
• Team spirit, tact, diplomacy, autonomy, rigor, and discipline.

Nice to Haves

• Experience with Entity Framework (Core).

• Experience working within Agile Methodology.

• An interest in financial services and/or pensions.
