This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced event professional to create engaging experiences that connect with developers and strengthen a global presence across the gaming, technology, and software communities. In this role, you will lead the planning and execution of developer-focused events, including industry conferences, trade shows, meetups, hackathons, and product activations. Working closely with Developer Relations, Product Marketing, and creative teams, you will transform engagement strategies into memorable in-person and virtual experiences. You will oversee event logistics, sponsorships, budgets, vendor relationships, technical demonstrations, and integrated marketing campaigns from concept through post-event analysis. Your work will help showcase innovative solutions, build meaningful industry relationships, and generate measurable business impact. This remote opportunity is ideal for a creative, detail-oriented project manager who enjoys working across global teams and traveling internationally to deliver exceptional events.
Accountabilities

Lead the strategy, planning, logistics, and on-site execution of developer-focused events, including conferences, trade shows, meetups, hackathons, and activations associated with major technology platform launches.

Collaborate with Developer Relations teams to translate regional engagement priorities into effective event plans, ensuring technical evangelists and other team members have the resources and support needed to succeed.

Manage event sponsorships, partnership commitments, and associated deliverables to maximize visibility, engagement, and value.

Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with venues and vendors, including booth builders, audiovisual providers, creative production partners, and accommodation providers.

Develop, manage, and track event budgets across multiple regions and currencies, maintaining financial accuracy and cost efficiency.

Partner with Developer Marketing and internal marketing teams to create integrated event campaigns, including landing pages, email communications, social media content, and promotional initiatives.

Create and maintain event listings and registration pages on company websites and event management platforms such as Splash and Luma.

Work with creative teams to develop event concepts, promotional materials, graphics, branded assets, and other content tailored to developer audiences.

Coordinate speaking engagements, workshops, panels, and presentations in collaboration with Developer Relations, Product, and other internal stakeholders.

Support the delivery of flagship integration showcases and technical demonstrations, working with Developer Relations to present technical content effectively at events.

Manage product demonstrations end to end, ensuring demos are tested and event-ready and that attending team members receive appropriate training, instructions, and supporting materials in coordination with Product Marketing Managers.

Prepare pre-event briefings, detailed run-of-show documents, operational plans, and post-event reports to ensure consistent execution and continuous improvement.

Track leads, attendee engagement, event performance, and return on investment, ensuring accurate and timely data entry and follow-up within CRM systems.

Research new event opportunities, evaluate sponsorship proposals, and provide strategic recommendations for future developer-focused activations.

Travel internationally as required to oversee event delivery and represent the organization at global developer and industry gatherings.

At least 3 years of experience in event management or experiential marketing, preferably within the gaming, technology, software, or related industries.

Genuine interest in developer relations, developer advocacy, or technical communities, with an understanding of how to engage developers effectively; coding experience is not required.

Demonstrated experience managing global events, including an understanding of regional requirements, cultural considerations, logistics, and budgets.

Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple simultaneous projects while maintaining high standards of accuracy and execution.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate confidently with both technical professionals and business stakeholders.

Creative problem-solving abilities and sound judgment, including the capacity to make timely decisions in fast-moving event environments.

Exceptional attention to detail, quality, brand consistency, and the overall attendee experience.

Proficiency with Google Workspace and its productivity tools.

Familiarity with event registration and marketing platforms such as Splash and Luma.

Experience with Atlassian tools, including Jira and Confluence, is an advantage.

Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate global time zones and event schedules.

Willingness and ability to travel internationally as needed.

Ability to manage event budgets, coordinate vendors, and handle sensitive business information responsibly.

Annual salary: $100,000–$125,000 USD for the Los Angeles, California market. Compensation may vary depending on work location, experience, and other relevant factors.
