Desktop Support Engineer

Salary: $30 – $36 per hour

Imatec is a local I.T business support company in Matamata (Waikato) and Tauranga (Bay of Plenty). We provide technology sales, service and support for businesses.

We are looking for a skilled and proven Computer Technician, someone who can hit the ground running as they have supported I.T business and home clients for at least 5 years.

This is a full-time position of 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 6 hours per day.

Preference will be given to candidates who live in Matamata or nearby.

You will work 70% in Matamata and 30% in Tauranga.

Only candidates currently in New Zealand will be considered.

You will need to be able to support some or all of the following:

• Microsoft Windows 11 and Server

• Mac OS, Linux is a bonus

• Microsoft Office 365 Suite of products

• Microsoft Teams

• Microsoft Hosted Exchange (email in Office 365)

• Google Workspace for Business

• Networking

• ShadowProtect / Acronis / Veeam Backup software

• Laptop repairs

• DNS, MX records and email setup etc.

• Network problem-solving skills

• Fortigate or other firewall skills ideal

• Ubiquiti wireless networks

• Antivirus products

• Printers

• iOS and Android mobile phones and tablets

• Websites and WordPress support

You will need:

• A clean NZ driver's licence and a reliable car to get to and from work
