About the Role
We are looking for a customer-focused Desktop Support Analyst to join our Technology Services team.
Reporting to the Head of Technology Services, you will provide first and second-level desktop support to Fleetcare employees across a range of hardware, software and network-related issues. You will respond to support requests, troubleshoot problems, complete software installations and upgrades, and keep users informed throughout the resolution process.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys solving problems, supporting people and working across a variety of technical issues. You will also have the opportunity to build your technical knowledge through ongoing team training and exposure to Fleetcare’s broader technology environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Provide telephone and face-to-face technical support for desktop issues.
- Respond to IT support requests and help users resolve hardware, software and network-related problems.
- Maintain accurate service desk records, including faults, actions taken and resolutions.
- Complete hardware and software installations and routine upgrades in accordance with service requirements.
- Keep users regularly updated and provide realistic resolution timeframes.
- Escalate unresolved or complex technical issues to the appropriate subject matter experts.
- Work with external service providers and supply the diagnostic information needed to progress issues.
- Maintain and develop technical work instructions and procedures.
- Participate in team training and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
About You
You are approachable, organised and genuinely enjoy helping people resolve technical problems. You communicate clearly, stay calm when managing competing requests and take responsibility for seeing issues through to resolution.
To be successful, you will bring:
- At least one year of relevant IT support experience.
- A relevant tertiary or technical qualification.
- Sound technical knowledge of desktop hardware and software.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and time-management skills.
- The ability to manage multiple support requests and prioritise effectively.
- A strong customer service focus.
- A professional and ethical approach to confidential and sensitive information.
Experience or knowledge of fleet management will be highly regarded but is not essential.
