Design Lead - HYROX Licensed Products (m/f/d)

HYROX is a global sports event series that combines running and functional fitness training in a unique race format. Founded in Germany in 2017, HYROX has evolved into a worldwide fitness movement with events across five continents, attracting tens of thousands of athletes every season. We are building the premier global fitness racing brand, empowering people of all backgrounds to train and compete together.

As our Design Lead – HYROX Licensed Products (m/f/d), you will take full ownership of our global product design and design tiering strategies across diverse categories, including sportswear, nutrition, and beyond. Working from our global headquarters in Hamburg, you will blend the iconic HYROX identity with a sharp commercial mindset to turn brand vision into world-class, high-performing physical products. In this role, you will bridge the gap between physical product design and visual communications. You will establish global design guidelines, lead product design for exclusive collection drops, and collaborate closely with tier-one global partners like PUMA. If you live and breathe fitness culture and have a proven track record of creating culturally resonant, profitable consumer products, this is your perfect match!

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Product Design, Concept & Tiering Strategy: Lead the continuous development of product design concepts and tiering strategies, balancing high aesthetic standards with commercial viability to drive brand identity and growth.

• Category Frameworks & Collection Development: Create category-based Product Design & Style Frameworks and manage end-to-end development for exclusive collections (city-specific lines, World Championships, B2B exclusives, and regional ranges).

• Comms Design Guidelines & Creative Assets: Establish global Licensed Product Comms Design Guidelines and create marketing/brand activation assets across digital, print, event, and retail touchpoints.

• Partner Collaborations & Resource Leadership: Direct internal/external design teams and serve as the primary design contact for licensed product partners (e.g., PUMA), B2B collaborations, and external design networks.

• Trend Benchmarking & Brand Stewardship: Act as a global creative guardian, integrating sports, fashion, and fitness trend insights to keep HYROX's visual product identity fresh, competitive, and authentic.

YOUR PROFILE

• Education & Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in Product Design (sports, athletic, or streetwear sectors preferred) and a degree in Product Design, Fashion/Apparel Design, Sports Design, or a related field.

• Product Strategy & Commercial Mindset: Solid understanding of product architecture, category-based range planning, and tiering strategies, with a proven ability to balance aesthetic design with commercial viability.

• Brand & Communications Alignment: Strong ability to align physical product design with visual comms, marketing assets, and global brand guidelines across all customer touchpoints.

• Partner & Licensee Collaboration: Hands-on experience collaborating with external partners, agencies, brand licensees, and internal stakeholders to articulate design decisions effectively.

• Trend & Cultural Savvy: Deep connection to global fitness, sportswear, and cultural movements, with the skill to translate market insights into profitable collections.

• Languages: Business-fluent English skills (written and spoken) are required; German or additional languages are a plus.
