About the role

At Design Bridge and Partners, we build brands that connect with people and thrive in the real world. We’re looking for an experienced Design Director to join our Amsterdam studio and lead ambitious creative work across a diverse portfolio of global CPG/FMCG brands. Our clients span a range of sectors, including drinks and alcohol, food and confectionery, coffee, home and personal care, beauty and wellbeing, and other everyday consumer categories. Depending on your experience and the needs of the studio, you’ll be resourced to the accounts and projects where your expertise can have the greatest impact.

This is a role for a designer who can think beyond the pack. You’ll bring a holistic perspective to brand building, creating distinctive and connected ideas across brand identity, packaging, campaigns, retail, digital, experiential and other consumer touchpoints. You’ll lead the creative process from initial exploration through to delivery, ensuring every expression is strategically relevant, creatively compelling and brought to life with exceptional craft.

Reporting to a Creative Director, you’ll be a senior creative voice within the studio, guiding projects, shaping creative direction and building strong relationships with clients and partner teams. You’ll present work with confidence, make clear and considered design judgements, and collaborate closely with strategy, client leadership and production to turn ambitious ideas into effective brand experiences. You’ll also have line-management responsibilities, supporting the development of designers and helping to build a positive, collaborative and creatively ambitious team culture.

About you

You’ll be an accomplished Design Director ready to take the next step, with a strong portfolio demonstrating significant experience in CPG/FMCG brand building. You’ll have the ability to think holistically across a brand and create work that goes beyond packaging, connecting a compelling central idea across multiple channels and consumer experiences.

You’ll combine outstanding conceptual thinking with refined design craft and the confidence to lead projects from brief through to completion. You’ll be comfortable translating strategy into compelling creative direction, challenging constructively, making critical design decisions and articulating your thinking clearly to both clients and colleagues.

As an inspiring people leader, you’ll have experience mentoring, managing or developing designers and creating the conditions for great work to happen. You’ll be collaborative, commercially aware and confident working with senior stakeholders in a fast-moving agency environment. Above all, you’ll bring curiosity, energy and a passion for building brands that are distinctive, relevant and meaningful in people’s lives.

Why us?

We’re passionate about our people and their careers. We’ll help you develop your skills and provide you with outstanding benefits. So you’ll have a chance to make your mark on our future, as we make a mark on yours. We’re proud to be the world’s most awarded brand design agency, with 28 Cannes Lions to our name and Creative Review Annual’s Most Creative Design Agency of the Year 2024. You’ll get to take new projects to award-winning potential, as part of a connected team of brilliant, tenacious people right by your side and across the world.

We believe the best work happens when we're together, fostering creativity, collaboration, and connection. That's why we’ve adopted a hybrid approach, with teams in the office around four days a week. If you require accommodations or flexibility, please discuss this with the hiring team during the interview process.
