Design Consultant

1. About the Company

Z L Construction Pte Ltd (ZLC) is a Singapore-based renovation and interior design-and-build specialist serving homeowners, commercial tenants and industrial clients across HDB, BTO, condominium and landed projects.

ZLC has built its reputation over more than 40 years on strong wetworks and carpentry craftsmanship, Universal Design expertise for elder-care and child-friendly homes, and status as an authorised CraftStone® installer and certified BLUM Urban Kitchen partner. The company is HDB-licensed, BCA-registered (CR06, GB02), and holds BizSAFE Star, ISO 9001,ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certification: the same safety and quality discipline it expects on every site.

ZLC is led by a Chartered Building Surveyor, bringing professional credibility and technical rigour to how every project is scoped, priced and delivered. A large share of our business comes from repeat clients and referrals, proof of the long-term trust we build with every homeowner and business we serve. We believe a company is only as strong as the people behind it, so we invest deliberately in a supportive, close-knit culture where every team member is trained, mentored and genuinely looked after.

2. Role Overview

As a Design Consultant at ZLC, you are the first person our clients meet and the standard you set in that first conversation shapes the entire client experience. You are the primary salesperson responsible for building the company, carry client relationships, and represent the ZLC brand. This is a role with genuine commercial weight and genuine accountability.

Your role has three dimensions:

Win the client, understand their needs, propose the right solution, close the deal

Design the solution. Working closely with our in-house drafters to translate the brief into something the client falls in love with

Co-lead the project delivery(partnering with our Project Controller to make sure what was sold is what gets built, to ZLC's standard, on time).

This role rewards people who build genuine relationships rather than push a hard sell. The clients who call us again for their next home, two or three renovations later, are the ones who felt truly listened to, not just sold to. If you are naturally warm with people, steady and consistent in following through on every promise, and quietly particular about getting the small details of a design right, you will thrive here.
