• Application Development: Develop, maintain, and enhance web applications using Java, ensuring quality, reliability, scalability, and maintainability throughout the software lifecycle.

• Software Design and Architecture: Apply object-oriented programming principles, design patterns, SOLID principles, Clean Architecture, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), and MVC to build effective software solutions.

• Backend Development and APIs: Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices using Spring, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud, ensuring efficient communication between applications and services.

• Database Integration and Optimization: Develop and maintain integrations with relational databases, write and optimize SQL queries, analyze execution plans, and support efficient data access and processing.

• NoSQL and Data Technologies: Work with NoSQL technologies, including MongoDB and Elasticsearch, to support application data requirements.

• System Integration and Messaging: Implement and maintain integrations between systems using RabbitMQ, webhooks, REST, and SOAP protocols.

• Technical Documentation: Create, update, and maintain API documentation and other technical materials to support development, integration, and long-term maintenance.

• Testing and Quality Assurance: Develop automated unit and integration tests using JUnit and apply Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices where appropriate to improve reliability and prevent regressions.

• Application Security: Implement secure development practices covering authentication, authorization, OAuth2, JWT, Keycloak, and OWASP security recommendations.

• Code Maintenance and Performance: Investigate and resolve software defects, refactor existing code, identify performance bottlenecks, and implement improvements to application efficiency.

• DevOps and Deployment: Use Git, Docker, SonarQube, and CI/CD pipelines to support version control, code quality, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.

• Containerization and Orchestration: Work with Kubernetes and containerized environments to support application deployment, scalability, and operational consistency.

• Requirements Analysis: Analyze functional and non-functional requirements and translate business and technical needs into effective software implementations.

• Agile Collaboration: Work with multidisciplinary teams using agile methodologies, participate in technical discussions, share knowledge, and contribute ideas for continuous improvement.

• End-to-End Solution Delivery: Contribute to the analysis, development, support, maintenance, and ongoing evolution of complex software solutions.

Requirements:

• A completed higher education degree in any field accompanied by a postgraduate qualification in Information Technology of at least 360 hours, or an undergraduate degree currently in progress in an Information Technology-related field.

• Strong hands-on experience in Java development, with solid knowledge of object-oriented programming, Collections, Generics, Lambda expressions, Stream API, exception handling, I/O, and core language features.

• Practical experience with Spring, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud, including the development and maintenance of RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.

• Strong understanding of software architecture and design principles, including Clean Architecture, DDD, MVC, design patterns, and SOLID.

• Experience working with relational databases, particularly Oracle or PostgreSQL, including SQL, PL/SQL or PL/pgSQL, query optimization, and execution-plan analysis.

• Familiarity with NoSQL databases and search technologies such as MongoDB and Elasticsearch.

• Experience implementing messaging and system integrations using RabbitMQ, webhooks, REST, and SOAP.

• Knowledge of automated testing practices, including unit and integration testing with JUnit, as well as TDD principles.

• Understanding of application security, authentication and authorization mechanisms, OAuth2, JWT, Keycloak, and OWASP best practices.

• Experience using Git, Docker, and SonarQube, along with CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery practices.

• Familiarity with Kubernetes, containerization, and orchestration environments.

• Experience supporting application deployment, continuous integration, and continuous delivery processes.

• Ability to analyze functional and non-functional requirements and work effectively within agile development methodologies.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work on complex technical challenges across the software development lifecycle.

• Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to participate in technical discussions and contribute to shared engineering goals.
