Build solutions that make a real business impact.

At Weston Forest, we're looking for someone who enjoys solving business problems with technology.

This isn't a traditional Power BI developer role. It isn't just software development or data science.

We're looking for a well-rounded Data Solutions Engineer who enjoys partnering directly with business users to understand how they work, identify opportunities for improvement, and build practical technology solutions that make their jobs easier.

One day you might be designing an interactive dashboard for Sales. The next you could be developing an internal application to automate a manual process, improving data pipelines for Operations, or building reporting tools that help leaders make better business decisions.

If you're energized by variety, enjoy working across different business functions, and like seeing your work make an immediate impact, we'd love to hear from you.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

As part of Weston Forest's Data Analytics team, you'll work closely with leaders across Sales, Operations, Finance, Purchasing, Inventory, Production, Credit, and other business areas to design and deliver innovative analytics and business solutions.

No two days are exactly alike. You'll have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects spanning analytics, application development, automation, business intelligence, and emerging technologies.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Partnering with business stakeholders to understand challenges, gather requirements, and recommend practical technology solutions
• Collaborate on the design and solution architecture of business, application, and data solutions, leveraging existing platforms, standards, and best practices to deliver consistent, scalable solutions.
• Designing and developing intuitive business applications, dashboards, portals, and reporting solutions that present complex information in a clear, visually compelling manner, enabling faster and more informed business decisions.
• Building automation tools that eliminate manual processes and improve productivity
• Developing analytics solutions using SQL, Power BI, Python, and other technologies
• Creating and maintaining reliable data integrations, reporting datasets, and semantic models
• Supporting enterprise reporting, business intelligence, and data governance initiatives
• Evaluating emerging technologies such as AI and machine learning where they provide measurable business value
• Participating in solution design, testing, deployment, documentation, user training, and ongoing support
• Continuously improving existing analytics and business solutions across the organization

WHAT MAKES THIS ROLE DIFFERENT:

Unlike many analytics positions, this role isn't limited to building reports or maintaining dashboards.

You'll have the opportunity to work across the full solution lifecycle—from understanding business challenges and gathering requirements to designing applications, developing automation, integrating data, creating analytics, and supporting users after implementation.

This is an opportunity to become a trusted technology partner to business leaders while helping shape Weston Forest's digital transformation and analytics strategy.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

We're interested in curious people who enjoy learning, solving problems, and building practical business solutions.

You'll likely be successful if you have:

• A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Software Engineering, Business Analytics, Mathematics, or a related field
• Three (3) or more years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, software development, data engineering, or a similar role
• Strong SQL, Python, Microsoft Excel (including Power Query), and Power BI skills.
• Experience designing and developing dashboards, business applications, and reporting solutions.
• Experience with APIs, system integrations, and Git or other source control systems.
• Experience with ETL/ELT processes, relational databases, and data warehousing.
• Experience working directly with business users to gather requirements and deliver practical technology solutions
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• A passion for continuous improvement and delivering practical business solutions that create measurable value

NICE TO HAVE:

• Experience applying AI technologies to practical business problems.
• Experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms.

Don't meet every qualification? We encourage you to apply anyway. We're looking for someone with the right mindset, curiosity, and problem-solving ability—not just someone who checks every box.

WHY JOIN WESTON FOREST?

At Weston Forest, technology isn't just a support function—it's an enabler of business transformation.

You’ll join a small, collaborative Data Analytics team that works closely with business leaders across the organization. Rather than being assigned a narrow area of responsibility, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute across a broad range of initiatives, helping shape how analytics, automation, and technology are used throughout the business.

Working directly with leaders across Sales, Operations, Finance, Purchasing, Inventory, Production, Credit, and other business functions, you’ll build solutions that improve business processes, enhance decision‑making, and create measurable value.

• Meaningful work with visible business impact
• Direct collaboration with decision‑makers across the organization
• The opportunity to build applications, automation, analytics, and reporting solutions—not just dashboards
• Exposure to a wide variety of business challenges, technologies, and projects
• A collaborative, entrepreneurial culture that encourages innovation and continuous improvement
• Real autonomy, ownership, and opportunities for professional growth

If you're someone who enjoys solving problems, learning new technologies, and seeing your work make a difference, you’ll fit right in.
