Data Scientist

Salary: £70,000 - 85,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong Python skills, including pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, and matplotlib
• Experience with SQL and relational databases
• Exposure to geospatial tools such as QGIS, GeoPandas, or similar
• Solid understanding of statistics and machine learning fundamentals
• Interest in renewable energy, power systems, or infrastructure
• Experience with data visualisation tools such as Power BI, Plotly, or Streamlit is a plus
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
• Proactive, curious mindset with a desire to learn and grow

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain geospatial screening tools to identify and rank development sites
• Develop energy market models and revenue forecasts for solar and BESS projects
• Create dashboards and automated reporting tools to track performance and pipeline progress
• Work with large, complex datasets, including grid, weather, and project data
• Support engineering teams with power systems analysis and statistical modelling
• Apply machine learning techniques for yield prediction and optimisation
• Contribute to technical reports, planning submissions, and investor materials
