Data Scientist/Software Engineer - Junior (Remote)

Ghosted After Applying: Candidates Tired of Silence Ghosting Is Now the Default. It Does Not Have to Be Your Default. You apply, sometimes complete a HackerRank, and then nothing. No rejection, no recruiter, no feedback. Data engineer roles are competitive, and companies ghost candidates who look generic: some SQL, some Python, no pipeline narrative, no cloud, no Spark. Silence is a market signal that your profile is not being championed. Make Your Profile Impossible to Ignore JOPP covers the pieces interviews actually poke: SQL performance, Python, Spark, Databricks/Snowflake, streaming concepts, and cloud ETL patterns. You complete pipeline projects with clear architecture. Resume work makes those projects scannable. Interview prep stops you from blanking on "walk me through a pipeline you built.” Then the marketing team works the network. Ghosting still happens in tech, but candidates with advocates get more live conversations than candidates who only click Easy Apply.
