Junior training-and-placement program (JOPP) at staffing firm SynergisticIT: upskills entry-level data jobseekers in Python, SQL, Spark, Databricks, Snowflake, Power BI/Tableau, and modern ML/LLM tooling, then places them in full-time data science, ML, and data engineering roles with client companies.
The Job Description Moved to the Lakehouse. Your Resume Did Not. Classic ML Is Necessary. It Is No Longer Sufficient. Your last serious data work used older pandas flows, on-prem SQL, and scikit-learn only. Postings now mention Databricks, Snowflake, PyTorch, LLMs, GenAI, and MLOps. You apply anyway. You do not get interviews, or you get them and cannot discuss RAG, pipelines, or production scoring. SynergisticIT JOPP is for data jobseekers whose tools aged out. Analytics, engineering, and ML/AI are trained together because employers no longer treat them as separate hobbies. Replace Stale Keywords With This Year's Work Python, SQL, Power BI/Tableau, Spark, Databricks, Snowflake, classical ML plus modern deep learning, NLP, Hugging Face-style LLM work, and cloud AI services. Projects sound like the current bar: LLM-assisted workflows, pipeline-backed models, dashboards on warehouse data. Certifications and interview drills make the new stack usable in a 60-minute screen, not only in a course email.
