Listee is seeking a Data Scientist to build end-to-end search and recommendation systems for a global classifieds platform. The role involves developing multilingual NLP models, managing ML infrastructure, and working with LLM-generated labeling to improve user experience.
About the team
We are a technology startup building a next-generation classifieds platform for mass-market users across international markets.
Our vision is to bring together the best of classifieds, transactional services, fintech, and logistics within a single ecosystem, while introducing a new generation of user experience solutions that have yet to be widely adopted in the market.
We are building more than a marketplace — we are creating an integrated platform designed to make buying, selling, transacting, and delivering goods simpler, safer, and more seamless for millions of users worldwide.
What you'll do
- Building candidate generators and ranking models for search and recommendations (actively using LLM-generated labeling).
- Contributing to ML infrastructure: not just designing features, but also writing pipelines for feature computation and training data collection.
- Training content embeddings for multiple languages and finding ways to extract signal in cold-start conditions.
- Adapting search and recommendation technologies for different languages by developing multilingual NLP models.
What we expect
- You're more interested in building the product end-to-end than in improving individual models.
- You're ready to work on features end-to-end — not just training models, but also doing research, writing production code, and more.
- Experience in search, recommendations, or ad tech.
- Other experience with high-load DS services.
- Strong academic background with knowledge beyond ML — solid Computer Science fundamentals.
What else is cool here
- A team that focuses on the product and user value, not just on delivering features.
- Modern equipment and everything you need for a comfortable working environment.
- A transparent bonus system and competitive salary (the exact amount will be discussed during the interview).
- A personal learning budget that can be used for books, courses, conferences, and AI service subscriptions.
- Private health insurance, including dental coverage, from the first month.
- Meal allowance.
- Sports allowance.
- Remote work or the option to work from a comfortable office in the city center.
