Data Scientist on the commercial team at game studio Embark Studios in Stockholm, analysing player and game performance data to optimise monetization, in-game economies and growth, and building dashboards and internal commercial tooling with SQL, Python and ETL pipelines. On-site role, candidates must already live in Sweden.
We are looking for a Data Scientist who is passionate about leveraging data to drive commercial success in the gaming industry. In this role, you’ll focus on using analytics to identify growth opportunities, optimise game monetization strategies, support business development initiatives, and build scalable commercial tooling. You’ll partner with game designers, product managers, and business stakeholders to unlock data-driven insights that fuel our business growth and maximize player engagement.
Example of responsibilities
Analyse game performance metrics and player data to identify business opportunities.
Provide insights and recommendations to optimise in-game economies, pricing models, and player engagement initiatives.
Collaborate with business development and product teams to develop data-driven monetization strategies.
Design, build, and maintain commercial tooling to empower commercial teams.
Build dashboards and reports to track business performance and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
Utilize AI-assisted coding workflows to accelerate development.
We would love if you have
A creative and curious mind
Strong background in SQL
Experience in working with ETLs and data pipelines
Proficiency in Python for data modelling, analysis over large datasets, and script/tool building
Experience building tooling or interactive dashboards
Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools
Ability to communicate insights and strategies to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Experience or interest in games
Professional English communication skills.
