A 2-year term role at the National Research Council Canada in Ottawa supporting the Digital Technologies Research Centre's Data Analytics team. The engineer builds data pipelines, backend systems, and client-facing AI/data products (web apps, dashboards, APIs, containers), working alongside data scientists using Python or R, SQL, and optionally cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or GCP.

We are looking for a Data Science Engineer to support our Digital Technologies research Centre (DT). The Data Science Engineer would be an employee who shares our core values of Integrity, Excellence, Respect and Creativity.
Under the direction of the Team Leader, Data Analytics Centre, the incumbent will contribute to the provision of data analytics services to external clients and NRC.
The Data Science Engineer will work alongside our data scientists to support the development of custom machine learning models and other data products for clients. They have an understanding of data science workflows as well as technical expertise pertaining to solution architectures and data engineering that will support project development and delivery to clients.
