Day-to-day work relies on SQL and scripting/automation workflows.
Data Governance Specialist, Financial Institution
Our client is a leading Financial Institution. Due to business needs, they are seeking the Data Governance Specialist in Hong Kong.
Responsibilities:
Support the implementation and continuous refinement of the Enterprise Data
Governance Framework, standards, and controls, particularly for unstructured data
management.
Assist in the design and optimisation of tools and technology for implementing data governance,
including metadata management, data access workflow, auto-classification and tagging, and
Support the adoption of unstructured data governance practices, including establishing
ontology and managing taxonomy, and driving organisation-wide data tagging to enhance
discoverability and AI readiness.
Requirements:
Degree holder in relevant discipline
Over 4 years of data management and data governance experience
Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, profiling, and analysis
Experience in developing scripts or automation workflows to support data tagging,
classification, metadata enrichment, or governance controls
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Fluent in Chinese and English
