As a Data Governance Officer, you will support the operational implementation of the Bank’s Data Strategy and BCBS 239 programme. Reporting to the Senior Data Governance Officer, you will work with Business, Risk, Finance, Data and IT stakeholders to embed effective governance practices across the data lifecycle. Your next challenge: Support the day-to-day implementation of the Bank’s Data Governance framework, standards and procedures. Contribute to BCBS 239 implementation and related remediation activities. Maintain and control Data Governance artefacts, including the Business Glossary, Business Terms, metadata, data ownership and data lineage. Support Data Owners and Data Stewards in fulfilling their responsibilities and using Data Governance tools. Perform completeness and consistency checks on metadata and governance information, and coordinate the resolution of identified gaps. Support the documentation and maintenance of business and technical lineage across business concepts, data fields, applications and source systems. Embed Data Governance requirements in data and IT projects throughout the data lifecycle. Contribute to the improvement and automation of operational Data Governance processes and controls. Maintain evidence supporting BCBS 239, internal control, audit and regulatory requirements. Use Microsoft 365, Power BI, Copilot and relevant AI-enabled automation capabilities to improve efficiency and ways of working.
