As a Data Functional Analyst, you gather business requirements from SMEs and translate them into functional and technical specifications, designing and validating data warehouse models (Kimball) with data architects. You ensure GDPR compliance, oversee testing, and drive user adoption using the MS on-premise stack (SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, PowerBI), with Azure Databricks as a plus.
As a Data Functional Analyst, you will be integral in collecting business requirements and translating them into functional and technical specifications. With a strong background in data functional analysis and experience in data warehouse modeling, you will enable the development and implementation of data models that support business needs.
Main Responsibilities
Lead discussions with Subject Matter Experts (SME) to determine data-related needs.
Identify and assess operational and analytics data flows.
Translate business needs into data and technical requirements.
Collaborate with Data Architects to design and validate data models.
Establish functional designs with Data Governance and ICT teams.
Ensure GDPR and security compliance in collaboration with the DPO.
Oversee testing of developed data products.
Train and engage business users to encourage adoption.
Key Requirements
Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in data functional analysis.
Experienced in data warehouse modeling (Kimball approach).
Proficient in designing and analyzing data flows.
Prior experience as a data engineer is a plus.
Minimum 3 years of experience with MS on-premise stack (SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, PowerBI).
Experience with Azure Databricks is a plus.
