Data engineer on Vinted's Trust & Safety team, building foundational capabilities for the detection platform that protects marketplace members from harmful activity and content. Day-to-day work centers on large-scale streaming data pipelines using JVM languages (Java) and technologies like Kafka Streams, Spark Streaming, and similar, with strong DevOps and CI/CD practices.
Vinted operates a second-hand marketplace connecting millions of members across Europe. Its business units also provide shipping services and secure payments, while the Trust & Safety team protects the community from harmful activities and content.

Knowledge of Spark Streaming, Storm, Kafka Streams, Kinesis, or similar technologies
Experience programming in Java or another JVM language
Knowledge of agile, DevOps, automation, testing, build, deployment, and CI/CD
Good understanding of compute, storage, and network infrastructure
Experience with modern software development life cycles
Working proficiency and communication skills in written and verbal English
Self-motivated and self-managing, with excellent organisational skills
Nice to have: Exposure to data streaming frameworks such as Flink
