Your new role As a Data Engineer, you’ll join the team on a 12 month fixed term basis and focus on building, maintaining and improving data pipelines. You’ll work across a modern data stack including Snowflake, dbt and Airflow to ensure data is reliable, accessible and ready for use across the organisation.
Responsibilities
Build, maintain and optimise scalable data pipelines
Develop data transformation workflows using dbt
Work with Snowflake as a core cloud data platform
Build and manage data workflows using Airflow
Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline performance
Support data quality, reliability and availability
Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to understand data requirements
Contribute to data engineering standards and best practices
Requirements
Commercial experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar data focused role
Strong hands on experience with Snowflake
Practical experience using dbt
Experience building and orchestrating workflows with Airflow
Proven experience designing and building data pipelines
Strong SQL skills
Good understanding of modern data engineering practices
Strong communication and problem solving skills
Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment
