We’re working with an established investment management firm, and they’re looking for a Data Engineer to help drive the evolution of its enterprise data platform, delivering trusted data products that power investment, operational and client-facing decisions.
Working across the full data lifecycle — from ingestion and transformation through to trusted consumption — you’ll help ensure data is reliable, scalable and fit for purpose. It’s a hands‑on role for an engineer who has designed, built and operated modern data platforms in production.
What you’ll do Own data products from ingestion through to trusted consumption Build robust data pipelines across structured and unstructured data Contribute to data quality, governance and observability practices Work with modern cloud-native tooling, CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code and scalable data architectures Explore how AI and emerging technologies can improve engineering quality and business outcomes What you’ll bring 4+ years’ data‑engineering experience, building and operating data pipelines in production Strong Python and Py Spark Microsoft Azure (first prize), or AWS — and their associated data services Strong SQL, and ETL / ELT CI/CD and a Dev Sec Ops understanding Working modelHybrid in Cape Town — three days a week in the office. #J-18808-Ljbffr
