We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer with expertise in Modern Data Warehousing, Big Data projects and Microsoft SQL Server and Azure-based Business Intelligence solutions.
Your Responsibilities As a Senior Data Engineer, you’ll play a vital role in our team, primarily responsible for transforming our client’s Data Warehouse into a modern, scalable solution. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where innovation and collaboration are key.
Your Tasks
- Maintain and Enhance Existing Solutions: Monitor and improve the current reporting layer on Azure Databricks to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Design and Planning: Collaborate with stakeholders to design the architecture of the new Azure Databricks BI platform, ensuring it meets business requirements.
- Implementation: Contribute to the implementation of the Azure Databricks platform, including data ingestion, transformation, and reporting processes.
- Collaboration: Work closely with data analysts, business stakeholders, and other team members to ensure seamless integration of BI tools and reporting capabilities.
- Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for data processes, architecture, and best practices to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity.
- Client Engagement: Cultivate strong relationships with clients, addressing issues and serving as a trusted advisor on data engineering matters.
- Project Quality: Take responsibility for project quality from planning through execution.
- Development and Consultancy: Perform development and consultancy tasks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Requirements Translation: Translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Product Maintenance: Keep products up to date in collaboration with the team.
- Data Pipelines: Build models and data pipelines, including data transfer, loading, cleansing, and analysis.
- Data Visualizations (Optional): Create data visualizations and reports in Power BI as needed.
