Data Center Architect

About 3cRGH (3C Regional Growth Hub)

At 3CRGH, we provide elite executive search services across the Asia-Pacific region, specializing in the Built Environment, Modern IT Infrastructure, Hyperscale Data Centers, and Energy Storage Systems (BESS/ESS). We partner with high-growth technology platforms and developers to secure world-class engineering leadership.

The Opportunity & Client Profile

We are representing a well-capitalized, high-growth data center design and engineering platform headquartered in Singapore with branches in Hong Kong and N. The organization specializes in fast-track, high-density, and prefabricated modular data center deployments engineered for hyperscale and enterprise clients across the GLOBE.

They are seeking a Lead Data Center Architect (Pre-Sales & Spatial Master Planning) to act as the primary design strategist. This role bridges client requirements with physical building design, modular MEP integration, and site execution.

Performance & Time Allocation

• 30% – Pre-Sales Solution Architecture & Master Planning: Develop comprehensive site master plans, building envelope layouts, and high-impact renderings for client RFP responses. Collaborate closely with the commercial team to demonstrate the functional and aesthetic value of modular data center solutions.
• 25% – Architectural Design & Space Optimization: Lead the architectural design of physical structures, logistics flows, and vertical transportation. Perform GFA/CFA calculations, site utility assessments, and high-level civil/structural estimations for white-space optimization.
• 15% – Cross-Functional MEP & Product Integration: Partner with the Lead Mechanical (cooling loops) and Lead Electrical (power distribution) teams to seamlessly integrate physical MEP modules into the architectural framework. Ensure spatial compliance across all structural trades.
• 15% – Business Planning & Phasing Strategy: Formulate step-by-step master phasing plans and accurate early-stage budgetary estimates for civil, structural, and architectural works.
• 10% – Compliance & Brand Governance: Establish and enforce the platform's minimalist design philosophy ("Less is More"), corporate branding, signage, and standardized site architectural aesthetics.
• 5% – Technical Oversight & Delivery Support: Support on-site delivery teams during construction; review submissions from local Architects of Record (AOR) and audit vendor material finish boards to ensure strict alignment with core platform standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture (B.Arch / M.Arch).
• Licensure: Registered / Licensed Architect by a recognized professional body (e.g., HKIA, BOA Singapore, RIBA, AIA, or equivalent) is strongly preferred.
• Experience: 8+ years of professional architectural experience, with a proven track record in data centers, mission-critical facilities, or industrial/complex infrastructure master planning.
• Technical Mastery: Expert proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, BIM orchestration, Enscape/V-Ray rendering, and Adobe Creative Suite. Strong capability in rapid visual sketching during pre-sales client meetings.
• Interdisciplinary Understanding: Solid understanding of adjacent engineering trades—specifically how high-density power distribution and liquid/air cooling layouts dictate structural whitespace and building footprints.
• Languages: Complete written and spoken fluency in English. Conversational or professional fluency in Mandarin/Cantonese is highly advantageous for regional coordination across APAC.

MANDATORY CANDIDATE SCREENING QUESTIONS

Please submit brief responses to the following questions along with your CV:

1. Mission-Critical Experience: How many years of direct experience do you have leading architectural master planning for Data Centers or complex mission-critical infrastructure?
2. Software & Visualization: Rate your proficiency (1–10) in Revit/BIM orchestration and rapid pre-sales rendering tools (Enscape/V-Ray). Can you perform live visual layout sketching during client presentations?
3. Cross-Trade Integration: Briefly describe a project where your architectural design was heavily constrained by high-density MEP/liquid cooling requirements. How did you resolve the spatial conflict?
4. Language & Regional Mobility: What is your level of professional fluency in English and Mandarin? Are you open to regional travel across APAC (e.g., Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam)?
5. Notice Period & Remuneration: What is your current total compensation package (base + bonus), expected salary, and official notice period?

CONFIDENTIALITY & APPLICATION NOTICE:

Due to the high volume of executive applications and strict confidentiality agreements regarding our client's platform expansion, only shortlisted candidates who meet the core technical parameters will be contacted for an initial screening interview with 3CRGH.
