Data Center and Facilities Engineer

About the role

As a Data Center and Facilities Engineer, you will be responsible for the efficient and reliable operation of the company's data center and supporting infrastructure. You will play a critical role in ensuring the company's technology systems remain online and secure, contributing to the overall success of the business.

What you'll be doing

• Manage and maintain the data center environment, including power, cooling, and physical security systems
• Monitor and troubleshoot hardware and software issues to ensure optimal performance of the company's IT infrastructure
• Implement and maintain robust backup and disaster recovery procedures to safeguard critical data
• Collaborate with the IT team to plan and execute projects that improve the scalability, resilience, and efficiency of the data center
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for data center operations
• Provide on-call support and respond to emergency situations as needed
• Document and maintain detailed records of all data center activities and configurations

What we’re looking for

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a data center or facilities engineer
• Strong technical knowledge of data center infrastructure, including power, cooling, and physical security systems
• Proficient in monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining server, network, and storage equipment
• Expertise in implementing and maintaining backup and disaster recovery solutions
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly identify and resolve issues
• Familiarity with industry standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements for data center operations
• Ability to work independently, as well as collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to liaise with technical and non-technical stakeholders
